Cabins

Basically rambler in style, cabins sometimes utilize a full-vaulted ceiling to allow space for a partial or full-loft above. Master is usually down, with kids sleep areas in the loft. Cost-efficient for vacation homes.
Single-Story Ramblers

One of the most popular styles and affords the most flexible interior design possibilities. Interior clearspans can be 40 feet and more, by using truss-style roofs. Daylight or walk-out models are ideal for sloping lots.
Two-Story

Popular styles, and the lowest building cost per square foot, make 2-story's a hit. A variety of facades and styles can radically change the end-looks. Living areas are usually down and bedrooms up, although placing the master down provides added privacy.

Split-Level

An efficient variation on the 2-Story, that allows the entry to come in at a level between the main floors. Usually have garage and bonus areas down, with main living areas up to take advantage of view lots.
Tri-Level

Actually half-rambler and half-2-story. They work well on sloped lots, and bring the transition between levels closer together. Typically garage/bonus is down, living on the main level, and bedrooms are up. |
