Christopher Saxman - Oak Harbor, Washington Christopher Saxman is an architect by training but was born into a family of photographers. For over 40 years, he has been snapping photos around the world. His photos are often more about the resulting design on the paper than the subject photographed. His subjects are simple: photos of bikes, doors, walls, fish or perhaps a leaf. They are not arranged compositions or composites but rather things from every day life as they were. The abstract simplicity of his photographs allows one to focus on the detail, color and composition while getting a glimpse into the world as seen by the photographer. They are not necessarily representational but meant more to evoke feeling through their expressive qualities.
