This is an amazing piece with charming lattice shoji doors and overhead venting (for candles). It is extremely well made of hinoki (cypress) and has heavy hand forged iron on the front. It would be wonderful if it could once again hold a Buddhist shrine, but the bi-fold shoji open up to a huge storage area large enough for an entertainment center or other storage. This is a real collectors item and rare to find in this country. |
