— The Seventies Singles |

A
trip back in time featuring Derek's first single release in
England
"Motorbike Annie" (1973) and hit single, catchy favorite
"Julie From Africa" (1977). Also featuring the previously
unreleased anti-war song "Miss America" (1976). As
relevant today as it was then.

Are you still there?

Recorded
in 2002, Derek continues his musical journey of transformation with his new CD.
This truly sensitive, deep and moving album speaks of time spent in the human
space -- probing, questioning, but still living conciously in the endless Now.
Trusting in a positive outcome, persevering through the paradox, suspended by
love above the abyss.
Again
using the best of local musicians and introducing keyboard ace Larry Neubauer,
Derek's eclectic musical landscape stretches from Beatlesque anthems, through
folky, down home observations, to prayers of thanks. Another
gem from " someone who cares." | |

Recorded
at Morgan Studios, London in 1977 and originally mastered at Abbey Road, Open
Up was never released - until now.The
musicians who appear here with Derek include Madeline Bell ( who backed Joe Cocker
on With a Little Help from my Friends ), Tony "Gad" Robinson (of the
favorite English reggae band Aswad), Robbie McIntosh (guitarist with the Pretenders
and Paul McCartney) and Huey Lewis guesting on harmonica. Remastered, sonically
restored and digitally edited by Steve Trembley at 7th Fret Music, Open Up is
finally available. The cover artwork (again by John Root) cleverly mimics the
orignal cover and has many more photos inside. Like a time capsule, play this
and release the scent and sense of a different time and place. A classic !! |

In
1996 Derek teamed up with producer and guitarist Steve Trembley to continue
his maturing vision of real life transformation starting with observations
of the gross world (the murders of Nicole Brown and Ronald Goldman) and ending
with the return into the universal source of all, the purifying realm of spirit.
Musicians accompanying him on this project include Jami Sieber, Steve Trembley,
uillean pipe maestro Tom Creegan and renowned fiddle player Kevin Burke.
Great art work of Derek and the Beatles by layout and design wizard, John Root. |

Recorded
in Freeland Washington in 1993 by Robbie Cribbs, this is Derek's first studio
recording in 11 years. It features contributions by some of the best musicians
in the northwest, such as cellist Jami Sieber, vocalist Janie Cribbs and guitarist
Tom Hoeflich. Internationally known pianist David Lanz offers a beautiful
improvisation on a theme written by Derek, "Beyond the Shadow." A lovely
collection. | |
