Services are held at 10:00am on Sunday mornings and generally end before 11:15. Child care is provided for young children. Please stay for conversation with coffee and snacks after the service. A service usually includes music, readings, meditation, a sermon, hymns, announcements, and/or time for congregants to share joys and concerns. Service leaders from the congregation take an active part in planning and conducting the service. We invite visitors to introduce themselves, but it is not mandatory. Newcomers sometimes wonder what to wear to a service. We generally dress in whatever makes us comfortable. Men will be found in everything from jeans to casual dress slacks. Women generally wear anything from jeans to dresses. Children are encouraged to wear play clothes because the CRE classes often involve crafts or games. Services are held at the congregation's new church building, 2 miles north of the Freeland traffic light on State Route 525 on the west side of the road. A prominent sign beside the entry driveway states: "Unitarian Universalist Congregation". Please be careful when entering and exiting the property; signal your turn well in advance and wait for traffic before pulling out. Route 525 traffic is high speed. Off-street parking is provided. Handicap parking is located close to the building, which is wheelchair-accessible and ADA compliant. View a map of our church location: 20103 State Route 525, Freeland Washington, on Whidbey Island. Please see our Calendar of Events for a description of our next service. Recent sermons are available through our Ministry page. Our would be happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
