The purpose of this Congregation is to foster liberal religious living, through worship, study, service and fellowship. Love is the spirit of this Congregation and service is its practice.   1. Goal: Establish and maintain a healthy and mutually supportive relationship with our Consulting Minister.
    1. Objective: Secure financial resources that will support a part-time minister annually.
    2. Objective: Establish Committee on Ministry (6/30/00)
  2. Goal: Establish congregation mission, vision, and covenant. (6/30/01)
    1. Objective: Conduct minister-led congregational process to review our Mission and establish a vision statement (3/31/01)
    2. Objective: Conduct minister-led congregational process to establish our covenant. (6/30/01)
  3. Goal: Secure adequate facility to include (at a minimum) sanctuary available for Sunday morning services, two classrooms, kitchen, office, social hall, storage, available 10 days, including all Sundays, per month. (9/1/01)
    1. Objective: congregation, upon recommendation of the Board and Facilities Committee, to approve move to new leased facility, to meet this goal.
  4. Goal: Develop and pursue plan to build or purchase church of our own.
    1. Objective: Congregation increases building fund annually.
    2. Objective: Congregation approves plan for purchase of land and/or building for church, upon recommendation of the Board and Facilities Committee. (6/30/02)
  5. Goal: Successfully support and active and growing membership (6/30/03)
    1. Objective: Congregation establishes membership goals for 2001-2003 as 60 (6/30/01), 70 (6/30/02), 85 (6/30/03)
    2. Objective: Board approves specific recruitment strategies, on recommendation of the Membership Committee. (10/30/00)
    3. Objective: Strengthen the membership journey by encouraging increased opportunities for active participation in the life of the church, through fellowship, educational, and religious activities, as well as ministry.
  6. Goal: Develop strong worship and religious education programs (6/30/01)
    1. Objective: Worship committee maintains annual and diverse weekly worship calendar, including regular earth-centered services and coordinates with the WICCUPS celebration calendar (10 mos.) (9/1/00)
    2. Objective: Church coordinator maintains annual monthly activity calendar (12 month)
    3. Objective: Worship committee establishes annual summer worship calendar. (7/1/00)
    4. Objective: Strengthen lay-led services.
    5. Objective: Continue to strengthen CRE program, establish stronger link to workshop services.
    6. Objective: Establish and maintain new adult programs (10/15/00)
  7. Goal: Establish strong social action program (1/1/02)
    1. Objective: Congregational participation in local, regional and national efforts concerned with social action and social justice.
    2. Objective: fostering opportunities for members and friends to contribute to local community service projects.
    3. Objective: Conduct educational activities for our congregation and community regarding social concerns and issues.
  8. Goal: Plan and implement successful income development (6/30/01)
    1. Objective: Congregation to establish annual income goals.
    2. Objective: Board approves annual income development plan with the assistance of the income development committee (1/1/01).
    3. Objective: Canvass committee to conduct annual member-to-member canvass.
    4. Objective: Annual operating budget to be supported completely by the annual member-to-member canvass (FY 2002).
  9. Goal: Develop strong pastoral services program (1/1/02)
    1. Objective: Board establishes conflict management team upon recommendation of PSC. (12/31/00)
    2. Objective: PSC organizes congregational conflict resolution workshop. (11/30/00)
    3. Objective: Board approves resources for rites of passage plan upon recommendation of PSC.
    4. Objective: PSC enhances plans for member support (cares and concerns), subject to board approval.
    5. Objective: Board establishes team of lay pastoral ministry providers, in collaboration with the consulting minister and on recommendation of the PSC. (6/30/01).
  10. Goal: Continue to strengthen democratic governance and congregational management (6/30/03)
    1. Objective: Clarify and develop appropriate administrative policies, procedures, as well as bylaw revisions, to include personnel (paid and volunteer), budget and finance, board and committee roles and responsibilities. (6/30/01)
    2. Objective: Strengthen communication within and between the board, committees and the congregation.
    3. Objective: Fund and develop more opportunities for leadership development.
    4. Objective: Responsive planning and accountable programming. Board and committees to conduct annual review of Long Range Plans and proposed action steps in September, board and committees to conduct annual review of program accomplishments in May.
