Water Sample Station and cut-off valve installation

In 2018 the members of WBRA approved in principal the addition of a cutoff valve to isolate Seacliff Lane in the event of a distribution failure during a major earthquake. Also approved was a sample station where a contamination free source of water could be used to take samples for testing. The station was to be enclosed and locked so that biological contamination would be minimised - better than using hose bibs on private properties.

On 16 April 2020, both these systems were installed by King Water Management Services.

These pictures were taken by Water Manager, Jim Patton, while he oversaw the operation.
